"Until We Meet Again" By OKC Musician Jared Lowery

Jared Lowery is without a doubt one of the most innovative new musicians that has arrived in the OKC scene and provides a musical experience that feels like "progressive jazz-rock with avant garde influences." He relays his feeling and thoughts about this song below...... "It's an homage to the experience of loss. It was an emotional experience playing it and to hear the emotions come back at me musically is really a new experience for me as a musician. It's weird." Listen and buy his albums at https://jaredlowery.bandcamp.com Hear some of his songs at https://soundcloud.com/jaredlowery/sets/we-eat-last Follow up on Facebook for information about upcoming gigs and developments at https://facebook.com/JLowerymusic/

Holly Jones-Owner Of Jones Manual Therapy-Segment 3

In this segment, we hear from physical therapist Holly Jones about a new manual therapy technique that she has developed, utilizing the sensorimotor cortex of the brain to access previously untapped potential of the patient. She talks about how this technique is centered around the homunculus, also known as "little man", in existence since at least the 1400's, which is the anatomical mapping of the sensory and motor systems of the body on the brain. What she has discovered is the ability to treat any part of the body UTILIZING this system, accessing the central nerve firing for that body part on the brain, accessing the "central potential" for that part of the body, within the central nervous system. We continue as she provides a more detailed explanation of how this particular technique helps patients who struggle with acute or chronic pain, and limited mobility/function in multitudes of ways. In addition, she provides insight into how this may have the ability to tap into the brai...

In this segment, we hear from Edmond physical therapist Holly Jones, who is also a pianist and composer. She has just released her third album, "Storyteller" and performed a sold-out performance at the UCO Jazz Lab in May of this year. We hear from her as she talks about how composing music is "the way that she processes life" and how that informs her creative process. She shares a story of how she began studying classical piano as a child and developed her skills and how her particular style has evolved over the years. She then reflects on how her compositional skills were inspired by various popular songs on the radio. We then listen to her speak about how her life informs her music and vice versa, and the synergy between the two. She relays to us the importance of being fully present, being fully grounded in her own body, actually "being the music," and how she utilizes this as an ongoing practice that brings about peace in all aspects of her life, especially her work as a physic...
