About Us

No One's Listening the podcast that could... Irene McGee, the host, was called a cross between Ira Glass and John Stewart (it must be her deep male like voice) -- Irene McGee is like a double agent of change, deconstructing the media by becoming the media. Guests have included Amy Tan, Jimmy Wales, Noam Chomsky, Lawrence Lessig, Ben Fong-Torres and Jello Biafra... if you don't recognize these names it's ok they probably don't know yours either... AND now they have video shorts you can see as well (who says radio is the fantasy theatre of your mind) check out the site http://www.nooneslistening.org and click the video link!

Culture Jamming:

We be jamming! We went digging through our archives and found this never released classic N1L with guest Jack Napier and Milton Rand Kalman from the Billboard Liberation Front. They join us -- in disguise, no less! -- to discuss the phenomenon of culture jamming. Professor Miriam Smith from San Francisco State University provides an additional perspective. This is a recycled show from back in the day - but we're pretty sure you'll still love it today!

We read the newspapers, see the reports on TV, but what aren't we seeing when it comes to Occupy Wallstreet. Well, No One's Listening is an audio show...so you still won't get to see the difference. However, you can close your eyes and pretend you are on a museum audio tour! Host Irene McGee and produce Winslow Porter head to the Occupy Wallstreet. The show opens with reporter Drew Grant, who has been covering the protest since day one. Later in the show we get a call-in fromcomedian Jamie Kilsteinlive. Jamie's the cohost of the popular political podcastCitizen Radio. The show wraps with an interview fromJesse LaGrecaa writer for the Daily Koswho gained fame after footage from his un-aired Fox news video interview went viral. The footage, which was caught by a citizen journalist, garnered lots of attention because wherein he "explained" the problem with the news media coverage at the event. The viral video was even mentioned on the Jon Stewart show. I'd like to dedicate this show to...
