265-Tricia is Redefining Happy Hour

EToday on the show, one woman force-of-nature Tricia joins me to talk about the "so now what" of recovery. As an entrepreneur and person in recovery, Tricia saw a need for some place to talk about what to do once you get over the initial hurdle of sobering up and started the hugely popular Recovery Happy Hour podcast, which has now begun its first series of online sober "happy hours," where people you don't drink can cut the small talk and connect meaningfully with each other. If that wasn't enough, Tricia also pioneered the first ever Sober by Southwest event in Austin this year, and has plans for a whole lot more.

In this conversation we end up there but we also cover what feminism means to different people, particularly African Feminism, as well as the journey of a girl from Ghana who wanted to see change and ended up in Switzerland working for the UN and is now about to embark on her next adventure.
