2.21 Dave and Taff Harvey: Living the Impossible

What would you do if you felt like God told you to sell your car and give away the proceeds? Or you felt led to write a check that included a zero or two more than you’d done before? As easy as it may be to dismiss that we’d ever find ourselves in a place where we feel free to live out this kind of radical generosity, the truth is generosity and faith are muscles that grow with use. By developing our muscles through walking out our own history with God—and learning to celebrate and be fueled by the testimonies of others—we will find ourselves doing things in the future that feel impossible now. When we know who God is and our identity in him, we’re able to do things that seem impossible to someone looking at it from the outside. In this faith-filled episode, Kristi hears how Dave and Taff Harvey grew in their faith to trust God in matters financial and beyond. Dave and Taff share how God miraculously provided for them over and over in their journey from Australia, through years of ministry school at Bethel in Redding, CA, and beyond all while imparting a grace to rely on God’s character, to use testimonies like a trampoline, and the incredible truth that generosity unlocks a divine flow from heaven. 2.20 Kim and Shari Babcock: Identity and Connection

Every episode on the Dare to Believe podcast is unique. There’s no script, only candid conversation with believers from all over the world sharing their experiences following God. So the fact that the themes of our identity in Christ, the importance of connection to other believers, and how to pass revival on to the next generation keep coming up tells us that God is trying to get our attention. And this episode with missionaries to Argentina, Kim and Shari Babcock, is no different. Join Rebecca on her recent trip to Buenos Aires, as she hears Kim and Shari share about their passion for seeing believers connected to the body, passing on revival, and learning to walk out their identity in Christ. As Shari put it, we want to see Christians who, “raise the dead in the morning, clean toilets in the afternoon, and who understand that all of that is a part of a normal Christian life.” Yes, yes, yes! Episode Highlights Include: “Obedience is enough.” “Don’t let your past keep you fr...

2.19 Becky Babcock: Walking by Faith

What does it look like to live following God’s leading? For at least one person it means moving to Argentina and starting two ministry schools. In this easygoing, backyard conversation, good friend and Bethel Missionary Becky Babcock shares with Rebecca about what walking out faith looks like in her daily life. Becky shares about the increase in risk taking that comes from knowing your identity, how the Lord continually grows us in how we hear from him, and how to make course corrections as we go. This episode is full of practical wisdom and a release of faith—a must listen! Episode Highlights Include: Permission to ask for conformation—even if that confirmation comes later. Knowledge and experience aren’t limiters to what God’s called you to. “When you know your identity [as a son or daughter in Christ] you naturally take more risks.” “Living in the Kingdom looks like living at the edge of our limits. If God doesn’t show up, I don’t want it to work.” Sow into Becky’s Mi...

2.18 Jon Russell: Generational Blessing

Elisha received a double portion of Elijah’s anointing and then died without passing it on. Sadly, these prophets have become a prophetic picture for many centuries of what generational blessing has looked like in the church. But what could it look like if a generation started where the previous one stopped? What would happen if the next generation received all that the previous one fought for, took it further, and then passed on their breakthroughs to the subsequent generation? Join Kristi and Rebecca in this candid conversation with Jon Russell–worship leader, father, and one walking out the role of preparing the next generation to receive the handoff and run their lap. In addition to this timely conversation about generational blessing, Jon also shares about his journey into the more of God, how to sustain creativity, and the dangers of performance. Episode Highlights Include: “I’m done being afraid of the Holy Spirit.” The way to walk through our fears is to go closer to Je...

2.17 Judy Slegh: Help! I Have a Prodigal

For many believers, one of their worst pains is a relationship with a child, sibling, spouse, or other family member who has chosen to walk away from their relationship with the Lord or the family. Painful doesn’t begin to describe the situation. You may feel betrayed and abandoned—both by that person and by God. And worst of all, you often feel powerless to do anything about it. The truth is there is hope. There is help. You are not alone. And God has not abandoned you. In this episode, Kristi and Rebecca are joined by longtime friend and author Judy Slegh who walked through a prodigal season with one of her children and then used her ministry skills and gifting to create an incredible resource for others–and there are many, many others. Judy talks about her journey walking through this incredibly painful season and realizing that she was not powerless in the midst of this. Whether you’ve personally experienced a prodigal relationship or not, this episode will release compassio...

2.15 John E. Thomas: Healthy Prophetic and Kingdom Identity

What can we say about this episode? In a word: Wow. In this power-packed conversation with the director of Streams Ministries, John E. You hear the Gospel and you obey the truth of it by surrendering to Jesus.” Faith is obedience. “Power always has purpose.” “You always have time for what’s important to you. Saying ‘I don’t have time’ is a value statement, not a reality statement.” “The primary function of a prophet is intercession not proclamation.” Contact John E...

2.14 Dano and Regina McCollam: Simple Steps of Faith

Many of us have spent time thinking about our destiny. Why did God make me? And what are the good works he’s prepared in advance for me to do? Or maybe we know where we’re called, but the task is far too big and we have no idea how to start. Well, then you’re in good company! Join Kristi on the road as she interviews Dano and Regina McCollam and hears how their simple steps of faith and obedience opened the door to their destiny. Throughout this episode, the McCollams share how they often had no idea how to do what God called them to, but they took a small step of faith and God was faithful in return time and again. Likewise, the disciples asked Jesus about the same concept in John 6:28-29: “Then they asked him, ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’ Jesus answered, ‘The Work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.’” Be encouraged to believe and take a small step today! 2.13 Kristi and Rebecca: Dreams, Part 3

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night from an intense dream with your pulse racing, feeling both unsettled and afraid? Us too. Try as we might to forget the dream and go back to sleep, it lingers and with it the unease that it brought to us. In light of these dark dreams, some of us carry heavy burdens with them throughout the day. Others pray to stop having dreams altogether. But there is a third option: To get God’s perspective on the dream and hear him speak through it or use it to bring us revelation about his Kingdom. Join Kristi and Rebecca in the third part of the Dream Series for an episode spent discussing the dreams that sometimes feel dark or heavy but still contain a powerful message of God’s grace, power, and sovereignty. *If you’re interested in having one of your dreams interpreted in an upcoming episode, please leave a short synopsis of your dream, including any emotions you experienced, colors you saw, and a title for the dream, here: https://dare2bel...
