About Us

your least favorite podcast ... that takes a positive, life-affirming look at pop culture, movies and living life to the fullest in an unmarried, child-free way.

Latest Episodes

Anna, Premium Rush & why time jumps in movies generally suck.

We suffered through "theatrical experience" of sitting with inconsiderate, shit-head humans while trying to enjoy a movie again and just like tying your own shoes...it's an overrated experience. Anyway, we gave Luc Besson's (Fifth Element, The Professional)new movie ANNA a shot and then came home to watch PREMIUM RUSH starring Joseph Gordon Levitt. Despite being very different films, they had something in common that we wanted to talk about: TIME JUMPS - and how jumping back and forth in time so much in a film is just a huge, pointless distraction. We also talk about the movies themselves. Also, how Bruce Willis actually can act sometimes when he really puts his mind to it and Andrew continues on his journey into the more recent Fast and Furious franchise - this week it's FAST AND FURIOUS SIX - the one with that British guy and Michelle motherfuckin' Rodriguez returns!! **heart eyes emoji**

Adam Sandler in Murder Mystery was actually very tolerable

In a very surprising development, we watched two movies that are VERY outside our normal viewing habits and actually enjoyed them. First we watched the new Adam Sandler/Jennifer Aniston Netflix movie MURDER MYSTERY. Sander's Netflix movies haven't exactly sparked our interest but something about this one really stood out so we gave it a shot. We also talk about the new season of Black Mirror and how Andrew found a new appreciation for the latter half of the Fast and Furious franchise (starting with fast5).

US & I AM MOTHER compared and contrasted

Two movies dealing with similar issues hit the video streaming services this week. Jordan Peele's US came to home video and the Aussie import I AM MOTHER hit Netflix. These two films don't have much in common at first glance but after watching them back to back we noticed some thematic/social commentary overlap that made them interesting to talk about in contrast to one another.
