NHTPP #1: Malikah McHerrin-Cobb

Hey everybody! Today's episode is a new subpodcast for The Last Podcast, one that is produced in association with the New Hampshire Theatre Podcast. It's kind of new and we're still figuring it out. Not even sure if the name will stick! But it is a show about using art to create social change. Sometimes it might be connected to a current theatrical production, but sometimes it might not be! Like I said, still figuring it out. A normal episode of TLPZL is coming very soon! https://www.nhtheatreproject.org/ THE NICETIES closes this weekend.

I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning (BEFHCL)

EBright Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose is a subpodcast of The Last Podcast in which Zac and his brother Morgan discuss the discography of Conor Oberst, the most important artist of our lives. Today's episode is long, kind of badly recorded, wandering, and full of emotional and political details. It's about I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, the best Bright Eyes album ever made. We are joined by Mackenzie and Tyler, our friends from the band The Meltdowns, who bring a different perspective to the proceedings. Join us as we analyze 9/11, wonder about Watergate, explore our past relationships with women and each other, play a game about ABBA, and much, much more.

EHey gang -- I wanted to re-post this episode because it was a little too loud as originally uploaded, causing the audio to click rather annoyingly in some speakers/headphones. I don't know if anyone noticed other than me, but I will feel better having corrected this. OK, new episode soon! Bye! Today's episode is about the power of theater. A Graduation Speech

EThe audio mostly gets choppy around big laughs. The rest of it is OK. But I also talk fast, so I would recommend reading along, just in case: https://thelastpodcast.tumblr.com/post/185569056378/graduation-speech-transcript

A Deeper Understanding

EToday's ep is a direct sequel to the last one, "Systemic Understanding." We talk to Sarah Wrightsman, the Executive Director of the Workforce Housing Coalition of the Greater Seacoast. We also talk to Steven Hedlund and Becky Holt of the Global Aquaculture Alliance, and check back in with Elena Piekut, assistant city planner in NH's only city doing anything right, Dover NH. We cover a lot of ground in this one, but really, it's about one question: how do you know that what you're doing is working? Shoutout to my pal Fred Balas, who tipped me off to Sarah's many acronyms.
