Joel has always been a bigger kid when he was young. But after losing his parents at a young age, Joel began to put on more weight, describing his activities as a deadly combination between eating a bunch of junk food and playing video games. His story will resonate with many young men out there who struggle with weight, who have developed an unhealthy relationship with food particularly junk food, young men who refuse to discuss their feelings and who have built daily routines around a lifestyle that is sedentary. Zach Moore is living proof that anything is possible and that change can happen overnight as long as you make the decision to go for it. He was once warned by a doctor that he had less than a thousand days left to live when he was 31 years old. Now, at 37 Zach was able to beat the odds. Living in a 500 pound body restricted him from doing that much “living”, with chronic diseases arising from his obesity such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol issues, asthma and sleep apnea.
