Futaba is part of the InKidsfamily of apps which currently features a list of 8 apps: Flashcards for iPad, Futaba Classroom Games, Puzzle Land, Math Champ, French for Kids, Chinese for Kids, Futaba Word Games, Alphabet Blocks 3D. The app are designed for both language learners and small children. In addition to showcasing kid-friendly apps and talking about the design elements in creating apps for education and young children, we will also discuss the pedgagogy of using the iPad with small children: multi-tasking, hands-on with parents, spotlight search, and learning on the go.

The teams, New River Community College (NRCC Games) and Radford University (Games Lab at RU), will also be sharing their journey to the app store, upcoming features of their apps, how students and teachers are using their apps in the classroom, and some tips for those of you who choose to embark into app development.
