Uncovering the dark secrets of coffee

In this episode #5 of the Casual Kitchen Podcast, we dive into the amazingly complex world of coffee. If you thought coffee was just dark, nasty tasting liquid, you definitely should reconsider. If done right, coffee can be an incredibly flavorful experience. Whether it tastes like a delicious plum cake or dark chocolate: coffee isn't just something you drink to wake up or because it's ldquo;the thing you drink in the officerdquo;. In this episode we uncover some of the dark secrets of coffee. My take on meal delivery kits

In this episode #4 of the Casual Kitchen Podcast, I talk about meal kit delivery services like Blue Apron or Marley Spoon. There are definitely a lot of upsides to those services for those amongst us that don't really enjoy cooking all that much or are ldquo;too busy to cookrdquo;. As someone who has extensively tried Marley Spoon's offerings, I can wholeheartedly recommend services like this (no, this is definitely NOT a paid review. My mom recommended them to me so I gave them a try). If someone would like to use my Marley Spoon referral link, please let me know. New Year, new beginning

In this episode #3 of the Casual Kitchen Podcast, I give you a few pointers for achieving your goals of a better, healthier life. Sadly, the science is not really conclusive when it comes to what can be considered ldquo;healthyrdquo;/beneficial and what not, but I still try to give you a few general guidelines that should help you achieve your goals (whether it's loosing weight or just living a healthier life in general) without any negative side-effects. They should also help you stick to your convictions longer and make sure you don't bounce back after a few months. Equipment, equipment, and equipment

In this episode #2 of the Casual Kitchen Cast, I talk about kitchen equipment in general. Why so many people are doing it wrong. What to look for and what to start with when you're getting into cooking and want to furnish your (first) kitchen. And why buying quality over quantity is so important. The very first one - Seasonal Cooking

In this, the very first ever episode of the Casual Kitchen Cast I talk about the topic of buying seasonal and regional. I also touch on the impact of buying produce that has been flown halfway around the world and why you shouldn't bother buying it in the first place.
