This is the first episode from our series, Inheritance Stories: Latino Voices on Farming, Culture, and Ecology. The Inheritance Stories exhibit featured immersive listening stations featuringportraits and stories in Spanish and English from food and farm workers, organizers, chefs, educators, entrepreneurs, and gardeners. Octaviano is on faculty at Oregon State University in the School of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences, OSU Extension as a community educator and is also involved with the Center for Latino(a) Engagement Studies. He tells a story about his grandmother/memories of growing up in Oaxaca and how he maintains the connection to culture and tradition. The Story was recorded at KBOO Community Radio in Portland, OR.
