It's time to relieve some tension and increase some mobility in our necks and shoulders. Fall Updates + Body Scan Meditation

Hello friends! This episode started as just being a body scan meditation (more on that later), but as I started doing the intro, I realized there was a lot to talk about! So this episode has two parts: a fall update (this is the first 10 minutes), and then a body scan meditation (start at minute 10:00 to experience that!) Let's talk about body scans! Body scan meditations are *amazing*. They're so great for helping you relax, falling asleep, or getting in touch with your body. I currently do a body scan every morning as part of my morning meditation, and then at night to fall asleep. It's amazing how quickly you can fall asleep when you do these scans! I also mention in the episode that body scans are great to do if you're dealing with an illness or fear around your body. You can bring healing energy throughout the body as you do the scans, and it can feel incredibly restorative. There's a common teaching that says that every thing you find angering or annoying in other people are actually things that you dislike or see in yourself. While I've theoretically understood this, in the past week, I've had first hand experience in seeing how things that I find annoying are also things that I am actively doing. Hello friends! Today's episode of Happy Healthy Human Radio is a special one - I'm recording from my family's cottage on Lake Erie! It's been so nice to be outside (without sweating all of my body weight) and be near the water - I needed to share a little piece of what it's like here with you! In today's episode, I'm exploring a concept that I was working on recently with a client. We were talking about how to not over explain and justify all of your decisions with the people around you. In our conversation, however, we realized that one of the most important people to not explain or justify to is yourself. Hello all! Today let's take a deep dive into pregnancy nutrition. It's a crazy time. Not only is your nutrition super important (you're making a new human out of what you eat!), it's also incredibly hard to stick to a healthy eating plan when most foods make your stomach turn. So on this episode, I'm sharing: The vitamins and minerals that are important to get tested for and to watch during pregnancy. The best ways to get your omega 3's (hint: fish isn't my top choice). How to eat more vegetables when they make you want to barf. What's the deal with carbs and how low can you go?
