Multi-family Investing and Aggressive Real Estate Portfolio Growth with Jeff Woods

In E029, Jeff Woods discusses his rags to riches story of how he started investing at the age of 23, skinned his knee a few times, got a coach, and then learned how to grow his portfolio from 0 to 100 between 2007 and 2013. I personally love how Jeff focuses on mindset and how that had allowed him to grow. Jeff specially talks about how his family taught him what NOT to do and that he had to learn the strategies all on his own. Jeff flips, coaches, BRRRRs (buy, reno, rent, refinance, repeat AKA buy, fix, rent, refinance), develops and is an author. I can personally say that I know many of Jeffs students and that they have nothing but good things to say. He was a very interesting guy to interview and he reminded me of some of the different things I need to continue to focus on in order to continue my growth as a real estate investor. iTunes and Google/Android Listen Links: https://linktr.ee/theandrewhines Connect with Jeffery Woods through his website https://www.jefferywoods.com Connect with Andrew Hines on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theandrewhines facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theandrewhines Greater Hamilton REI Meetup Group: https://bit.ly/2VSSc9i Specific Topics of Discussion: * Jeff’s story of how he bought his first to properties and ran into a road block with structural and tenant problems* Jeffs mindset and path to 250 residential units* Property management and utilizing a good team to scale and maximize profit for time spent* Jeff’s book, the Ultimate Wealth Strategy* Buying and keeping and flipping properties* the current market, finding deals and what’s next for Jeff Andrew’s Gear: Nikon D5200 on Amazon http://bit.do/AHREIGUYD5200 Nikon D5600 on Amazon http://bit.do/AHREIGUYD5600 Nikon 50mm Lens on Amazon http://bit.do/AHREIGUYNIKKOR50mm Nikon 35mm Lens on Amazon http://bit.do/AHREIGUYNIKKOR35mm SD Card 128GB on Amazon http://bit.do/AHREIGUYSD128GB AC Power for Nikon on Amazon http://bit.do/AHREIGUYACPOWER Audio Interface on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYAUDIOINTERFACE Studio Microphone 1 on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYMIC1 Studio Microphone 2 on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYMIC2 Studio Headphones on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYHEADPHONES Lappel Mic on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYLAPELMIC Tripod Stands x2 on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYTRIPOD Boom Mic Stands x2 on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYBOOMSTAND XLR Cords x2 on Amazon: http://bit.do/AHREIGUYXLR Music Info, Artist: JPB, Song: High, NCS Release: Feb 1 2015, No Copyright Copyright Free

In E028, Jon Kepler walks through his real estate journey which began in the small southern Ontario town of Owen Sound. With a relatively sparsely populated area to call his investment home, Jon handles the trial and tribulations along with the benefits. Jon has called himself a high cash-flow and high cap rate investor and he told a story of how he created his financial at the age of 25, nearly 10 years ago as of the recording date of this podcast. $85,000 Flipping Profit at the Age of 21 with Dan Chiappetta

In E027, Dan Chiappetta tells his amazing and inspiring story of getting started young in real estate investing. Very few people buy a house before they even graduate school but Dan did. At the age of 21 years old, Dan bought his first investment property with one of his friends, having his parents as co signer, and proceeded to flip that house for $85,000 personal profit. When I heard this I had to do a double-take. It’s almost difficult to imagine making that kind of profit at that age. Since flipping his first property Dan has continued to acquire long term holds, perform BRRRR investments and flip properties. Rent to Own, Landlording Hacks and Multifamily Conversions with Scott Zandbergen

In E026, Scott Zandbergen talks shop about rent to own, duplex conversions, landlording for success (landlord hacks) and how to manage the tenanting process for minimal time invested. Scott only started investing in real estate in 2014 after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad and he’s never looked back since. His initial investment property of choice was a “rent-to-own”, which is an investment strategy where the landlord buys a house and puts tenants in it on a program to help the tenant to eventually buy the home. Scott was able to aquire a few nice properties with strategy but ultimately decided that investing in single family homes to convert into duplexes was a better long term strategy for him. Scott is a wealth of information despite only a short 5 year tenure as a real estate investor. High Speed Growth in Real Estate Investing with Dylan Suitor

In E024, Dylan Suitor discusses his approach and philosophy to real estate investing and growing his portfolio at an incredible pace. Dylan and his partner made a commitment to themselves to grow their portfolio by $100 million over a 12 month period. For most, this type of growth would seem near impossible by Dylan and his partner have exercised the BRRRR method to perfection and have grown utilitzed key private lenders to get the funds needed to do this. On the refinance end, given the sheer volume of their efforts, they are working with commercial lenders that are assisting them in the “refinance” portion of the BRRRR. I guess for some people something just clicks! iTunes and Google/Android Listen Links:https://linktr.ee/theandrewhines Connect with Scott Zandbergen onFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/scott.zandbe… Instagram https://www.instagram.com/szandbergen Website: http://scottzandbergen.com Connect with Andrew Hines oninstagram:https://www.instagram.com/theandrewhinesfacebook:https://www.facebook.com/theandrewhines Greater Hamilton REI Meetup Group:https://bit.ly/2VSSc9i Specific Topics of Discussion: * Rent to Own process, benefits, downfalls and Scotts view on the investment strategy after having a few years of experience with it* renting ‘hacks’ – how to rent your property easier and get better tenants when self-managing (pure gold)* duplex conversions – what’s it cost and what should you be spending money on?* Managing tradespeople and the cost of doing quality work (can be more affordable than some might think)* using private money to finance a renovation* becoming a private lender Music Info, Artist: JPB, Song: High, NCS Release: Feb 1 2015, No Copyright Copyright Free
