Travelin Girls show is hosted by Denise Cochran and Meri Wayne. They are artists, photographers, entrepreneurs and mothers. The show's mission is to empower children with knowledge. Some of the topics we explore are. Ways to learn about and experience different cultures and countries. To instill appreciation and acceptance of others. We explore avenues to a positive self-image and encourage girls to participate in helping others. We are socially responsible, Eco-friendly and strive for world peace through knowledge. Daraja Academy: The mission to give East African girls a secondary education

Daraja Academy will be the first free secondary school in all of East Africa. In January 2009, 25 girls from Kenya will be given a chance for a secondary education which would otherwise not be possible, given their current economic situation. The mission of the Daraja Academy is to cultivate a community of individuals with a sense of cultural awareness, social conscience, and environmental responsibility, all while instilling talents that will enable them to open doors to a global society.

Cooking with Kids with Mimi Chacin of The Budding Cook

Mimi Chacin, mother of two, culinary school graduate and founder of South Florida based The Budding Cook which hosts cooking classes for children 3-12 and up. Born in Spain and raised in Venezuela by well-traveled parents, Chacin learned at a very young age to embrace a multitude of cuisines. That is why many Budding Cook classes feature age-appropriate recipes for internationally-inspired dishes. Chacin combines her passion for cooking with her flair for different cultures to provide a unique and educational activity for parents desperately seeking positive extracurricular outlets for their children.
