Episode 35: Pivotal Moments

This week, Sondra and Alysia share pivotal moments from their own lives to use as examples to show how you can use story to reframe these moments. What is a pivotal moment? How do you find one from your own life? How does this relate to story? Sondra and Alysia answer these questions and more. Takeaway: Find one pivotal moment from your past. Something that really impacted you. Take a day to let that moment sink in and understand why it left you a changed person. Then, rewrite this story (in a page or two) to shift your being and empower yourself to let this part of your life be a positive influence on who you are right now.

Episode 34: Refocusing

In this episode, Alysia and Sondra share their goals for this podcast. Explanation of how the past several episodes apply to seeing the magic in your own life, and discussion on using fiction as a guide in your reality are both important topics this week. You can take the thought from your head, put them onto paper, and release past hurt, fear or doubt that you’re dealing with. It may not be all of it, or right away, but each time you can sit and write on a topic that’s difficult for you, you release some of the power it holds over you. Takeaway: Write a paragraph in your journal, or translate it into a fictional story, around a problem you’re facing that you want to work through. If this problem seems to big or scary to get out, then start with writing down the 5 things you are most grateful for in your life. The problem will start to work its way out too.
