Using audio and mental imagery to treat chronic pain and sleep disorders.

According to the International Association for the Study of Pain, the definition of pain is: “an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage”. Dr. Marilyn Dean, Psychologist at Marshfield Clinic, discusses her use of audio, specifically calm soothing music combined with her verbal instructions to treat patients who suffer from long term or chronic pain.

He also discusses the rationale and plan for building a new dental school in Marshfield, WI.
