#29 - The Side Project Episode

EWhat do you do when the rock and roll lifestyle and touring/songwriting/performance machine isn't enough? Well, in the days before Etsy, where you could sell those scarves you've been knitting, you would just have to start another band. This is a user-sourced episode where we tackle four side projects and give you the BSOGM rundown on what's trend, legit, or novelty. Also, as a side note, Damian has released the second full length from A Pregnant Light today, titled "Broken Play." You can stream that anywhere or do the extremely cool thing and make a purchase at apregnantlight.bandcamp.com. Get a vinyl record. Get a couple t-shirts. Thank you!

#28 - Don't Mess With Texas

ECrack a Lone Star, it's a long episode. Yeah, I know that Texas isn't a country, but they think it is - so we we going to give them that one. We talk about four BSOGM bands from the second biggest state in the Union. Yeah, we left out a few important bands, but they'll get their own episodes so don't burn your brisket quite yet. Also, after a relatively peaceful period we get into a little kerfuffle over one of the bands we discuss. So, we throw it back to you, our BSOGM faithful listeners. Check out the episode and weigh in on if you think the record is top class or straight ass. Hit us on twitter @BSOGM, or email us at bsogmpodcast@gmail.comto let us know.

#27 - Agent Steel

EI want to believe. If Fox Mulder fronted a speed / power metal band that played in a thrash style but wasn't a straight up thrash band - it would be Agent Steel. Serba is back from vacation at the water park, and is proud to report, zero alien abductions. Damian is unabductable. No tractor beam can reel him in, and life form beyond our own is interested in anything to do with him. Where does that leave us? Well, we just have to listen to Agent Steel.

#26 - TRVE HELLENIC BLACK METAL

EOur fifth stop in the BSOGM world tour takes us to the mighty GREECE! The land of democracy, the gods, marble architecture, laying down and eating grapes, and all the other stuff the Romans would later steal and claim they invented. You know what Ancient Greece lacked? Good heavy metal music. So, we journey back the ancient lands of 1993 to take you on our quest of fire! To the Elysian Fields we ride!!!!

#24 - Canadian Metal

EAlright hosers - This week, in our fourth installment of the globetrotting banger-files, we open the gates on the Great White North: the land of Wayne Gretzky, Pamela Anderson, Dan Aykroyd, Neil Young and fucking Infernal Majesty. For real... which one of you motherless slugs was holding out on this band? Who knew? We do, now. And you can too. We cover Exciter, Razor, Sacrifice, Infernal Majesty, and both lads get hogwild for the elite primitivism of the almighty Slaughter (CAN). Not Slaughter (US). Slaughter (US) sucks.

#23 - The Dirt

EThis was the only way to get us to talk about theCrüe. How much more BSOGM movies can be made? What out-of-touch set of suits sitting in a sunny boardroom in Los Angeles with no connection to reality decided this was the right cultural climate to make a movie about a decadent band heavily involved in heavy substance abuse, egomania and less than forward-thinking attitudes towards women? How many time will pass before we get the Impaled Nazarene motion picture? What are we doing? Why are we here? Who are I? Hey Tommy Check That Out Man What Vince Where Right There Man.

#22 - Brazilian Metal

EThe third installment of our BSOGM 2019 world tour: In the words ofMotörhead, "WE'RE GOING TO BRAZIL." The BSOGM bad boys break out the beers and probe the Belo Horizonte Brazilian beat this week, barbecuing their already broken brains to bloviate and blather on the five best bands, bitch. (BOOM!) Of course we leave out Sepultura, as they deserve their own episode. We examine Vulcano, Mutilator, Sarcofago, Holocausto, and Sextrash. We touch on subjects as diverse viewing a cow uterus as an adolescent, late night USA Network programming and even get a bit serious at the end because some of this stuff is a bit bananas. I'm running out of b-words. Listen. thx.

#21 (The Lord Weird) Slough Feg

EThe BSOGM boys are back and this time they're keeping it true. We are here to discuss the San Francisco-based traditional metal institution Slough Feg, fka The Lord Weird Slough Feg. Wow. Yeah, but actually we really love the Feg. From their inception as a sort of Celtic Thin Lizzy (which is different than the regular Thin Lizzy even though they're from Ireland, it's lord weird just trust us on this), to their epic theme records and into their psuedo-Rodgers and Hammerstein meets Manilla Road thing... they just rock. That's it. We love Mike Scalzi, the prickly pear of US Trad Metal.

#20 - Luxury ITALIAN Leather Episode

EBuongiorno - our globetrotting heavy metal journey has taken us all the way to the land of the finest fashion houses: Versace, Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Armani... AC Wild from Bulldozer. That's right - we're in Italy. We tackle our top 5 picks from the land of gelato, espresso, calzone and the ancestral home of Joe Montana. Has Italy been unfairly given the boot (lololollllllll)? Not known for its heavy metal as it is for its fine leathers, we aim to correct that and shine a ray of Under The Tuscan Sunshine on the mighty Italy. Ciao!
