Episode Four: Women in the Music Industry

To round up our podcast miniseries, two of our Vadana team members sat down to discuss the issues women face in the music industry and possible ways to overcome them. From sexual harassment and assault claims from fans against once revered musicians to the objectification and patronisation of female performers, there's a lot of work to be done to ensure gender equality and safety in the industry. While this episode tries to cover several talking points, it is by no means the final word on the matter. Maryah and Katie share their thoughts based on their own experiences and their research, but they both acknowledge the this is an issue that requires constant and continually evolving dialogue between all parties in the industry.
