Talking self care, managing expectations, and more with Mara Glatzel

In this conversation Mara Glatzel and I discuss meaningful self-care (it’s not just baths and chocolate), managing our expectations of ourselves so that we aren’t setting ourselves up, and how thought patterns and belief systems play into self-care. Talking With Everyday Activist Grace McKinnon

You may not know her name but you may well know her story. In November 2018 Grace was on her way back to work when she saw a young man being confronted by police officers who had their drawn weapons pointed at him. Fearing the killing of another young black man Grace sprang into action. We don't all need to be Grace but there are important lessons for us all in her experience. Join us for this conversation.

Talking Gender Roles and Raising Free Children with Craig Pomranz

This is a first for the podcast! In this episode I interview singer, actor, and author Craig Pomranz. Craig has written a charming children’s book that tackles our stereotypes around gender roles. In a world where we see evidence of toxic masculinity every day paying attention to how we are engaging with our boys is critical to gender equality, ending the cycle of violence against women, and raising boys who grow up to truly respect women and themselves. Too often the conversation about this happens only among women but that's not going to get it done. To change the dynamic we need men and women on board.
