About Us

Daughter podcast is a personal journal style podcast made by me, Bhan, in an attempt to understand and accept my mothers evolving story as a child bride, refugee, and prison escapee. These stories told by my mother, and synthesized by me, are audio essays crafted to explain the confusing, contrasting, and complicated nature of my relationship to my mother as a first generation child. I hope you enjoy.

My Superhero,

One of the Lucky Few

I've spent a lot of time being annoyed by the burden education has placed on my back. After speaking with my mom, my perspective, as usual, has changed. I am one of the lucky few and, as usual, our societies need to undergo some serious self reflection and active change.
