Andrew Yorke Rio Olympics - Epic Triathlon Podcast

In this episode of the Epic Triathlon Podcast coach Patrick Janukavicius talks to Andrew Yorke about qualifying for the Rio Olympics. Yorke struggled through a number of injuries to make it to the games. He had back surgery in 2008 and was told he would never be able to race again. After a chat with Barrie Shepley, famous triathlon coach, Yorke decided to continue training. He’s been on team Canada since 2013 and had a strong 2015 season. However, he was hit by a car in the fall of 2015. That slowed the end of his 2015 season, forcing him to skip out on the Cozumel race. No obstacle is too big for Yorke. He just keeps coming back. One might say he was destined to go to Rio.
