About Us

Professional mountain biker Payson McElveen sits down with some of the biggest names in sports and adventure to get an inside look at what sets them apart. With no script, the casual conversations are as diverse as the guests, with topics ranging from harrowing tales of survival, to debates on current events, to everyday tips and tricks and everything in between. As Payson travels the world for his two-wheeled day job, listen in as he rubs shoulders with and learns from some of the most inspiring athletes, entrepreneurs, academics, and others as they chase and inspire greatness.

Latest Episodes

Adam Craig and Carl Decker

Peanut butter and jelly, Tom and Jerry, Batman and Robin--we'd argue Adam Craig and Carl Decker are up there with the most legendary duos on earth. They certainly are the most interesting. Illustrious Olympic mountain bike careers, XGames level rally car partners as AC/CD, a Singlespeed World Championship dynasty, industry-altering bike set-up innovations, and some of the best storytellers we've ever encountered. Payson sat down with two of his childhood racing heroes at Adam's house in Bend, OR the day after the Singlespeed World Championships, and tried to figure out how many of the myths were true. This was the very first podcast Payson recorded.

Sasha DiGiulian, rock climber

Sasha DiGiulian is a Boulder-based professional climber and Red Bull athlete. After an illustrious competitive climbing career that included a world title, Sasha attended Columbia University where she studied non-fiction creative writing and business. While getting her degree, she maintained her career as a professional climber, transitioning into a role that involved pushing the limits of big wall climbing and telling those stories through social media and content creation. Along with peers Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell, Sasha has helped push climbing in to the mainstream, representing a strong voice for women in particular. Sasha and Payson sat down in her dining room to chat about all of these topics, along with some of her most harrowing adventure stories, how she trains, time management, and aspirations for the future.

"Bonusode!" Lily McElveen, producer of the show

While visiting her in England, Payson recorded a bonus podcast with producer of the show (and younger sister), Lily. They discuss experiences with the project now twelve episodes in, goals and plans moving forward, the nuts and bolts of how Lily edits and produces the show, her background and reasons for moving to England in hopes of escaping the comfort and predictability of the life in the Unite States, observations about UK culture, and how collaborating on this project has repaired a sibling bond that previously had been lost during their teenage years.
