0514 - What The Future Holds

Jesus has purchased a future for us that is better than anything we can plan or imagine. "The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions." 1 Peter 1:3-5

0513 - Hardwired

Think you are in control? Stop breathing. Just do it. It won't be long before your body will insist you draw another breath. And just like we were programmed to take in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide, you wired to live for God. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

What We Treasure Most

Something Beyond Ourselves

In teaching us how we should pray, Jesus taught us to revere God in this way:"Hallowed be Your name...". (Matthew 6:9b) In the little moments of daily life, we must live for a greater honor than our own.

Not Alone

Already. Not Yet. Still. Never.

God's care for you is secure because it doesn't depend ouryour faithfulness, but onHis. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. ~ 1 Thess. 5:23-4
