Consider Doing Something Out of the Ordinary

The stand-up comedian we hired for my brother-in-law's 40th surprise party cancelled 3 days before the event. I got stuck on frustration, disappointment, worry, and anxiety. And I got unstuck when I considered doing something out of the ordinary - that is, when I considered taking on being a stand-up comedian for the first time in my life. And what joy it was! Where in your life can you consider doing something out of the ordinary in order to get unstuck?

Consider Doing Something Out of the Ordinary

Consider everything has its time and place

Have you ever gotten really attached to something? A person? A place? A relationship? A job? A belief? Tune in to this week's podcast episode to hear how I got stuck on grief this week when I wanted to say "goodbye" to all of my old blogs and I got unstuck when I considered, "everything has its time and place" - and how you can, too!

Consider everything has its time and place

Consider it is what it is.

Have you ever heard of the old Yiddish proverb, "Man plans, God laughs?" That's just how our lives look like sometimes, right? Enjoy listening. I know I enjoyed creating this episode for you.

Consider There's No Place Like Home

When was the last time you watched The Wizard of Oz? I haven't seen that movie since I was a kid. And when I did watch it, I certainly wasn't viewing it from the perspective of Getting unSTUCK. And so I decided to get the movie and do just that. If you like learning deeper understandings behind classic movies, you have to tune into this episode. I had such a fun time disentangling it and noticing what each of the main characters represent in the world of The unSTUCK Method. Enjoy!

Consider Sitting in God's House

A friend of mine was visiting Israel and we arranged to meet up in Tel Aviv. I decided I would take the train down to see him rather than drive, as I'm not a big fan of driving. Yet, I missed the train station when I found myself totally entrenched singing a song I had just composed the day before. And I got stuck (on many emotions against myself for having missed the sign to get off the road, and of course, missing my train). Where in your life can you consider sitting in God's house, just as I did?

Consider Taking Responsibility

Do you ever blame others for the way you feel? While I always aim to take responsibility for my own emotions, I sometimes slip - and that's exactly what happened this past summer when my mom and I didn't see eye to eye on something. Tune in to hear the story about how I got so stuck on confusion, frustration, and disappointment with something my mother did. And how I got unstuck (and later apologized for it) when I consider taking responsibility for my part in that story.

Consider There's No Use Worrying

A friend of mine who was supposed to visit me this summer didn't show up when at the time we had arranged. And I got stuck on worry while he wasstuck in a horrific thunderstorm storm while biking his way to me. I got myself unstuck when I considered there's no use in worrying - and that worrying wouldn't help the situation at all. Where in your life may you be stuck on worry and where may you be able to get unstuck from it by considering worrying won't make the situation any better?
