Giving Thanks is Your Missing Link to Maintaining Hope

On this special Thanksgiving Think Hope Podcast, Dr. Rosalind Tompkins and her guests share how giving thanks brings hope no matter what you are going through. She also shares how to give thanks and unleash hope to move forward in life. Hope has been said to be pregnant expectancy. In Hebrews 11:1, the Bible states, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (KJV). It is so important to hope until you cannot have faith without it. Hope will give you a reason to get up in the morning and continue to press on. Hope will give you a reason not to give up and to try again even after you fail. Hope will heal your disappointments and cover your failures because with hope, there is always tomorrow. Hope speaks to your future while in the midst of your today, and hope will propel you into your tomorrow's destiny. Even in the midst of trouble, hope can be your way out. Think Hope in the Aftermath of Hurricane Michael

Dr. Rosalind Tompkins shares how thinking hope helped her and others to survive the deadly Category 4 Hurricane Michael that hit the Panhandle of Florida on October 10, 2018. There were at least 26 people killed during this mammoth hurricane. "When I heard about Hurricane Michael heading our way, I had just come from a week on the beach (St. George Island) celebrating by birthday and the first thing I thought was, "Thank God it wasn’t last week." My next thought was, "Oh boy here we go again!" As we listened and prepared for the worst, I couldn’t help thinking the best and even though we were doing everything to prepare; getting water, food, batteries, checking on family and congregants, making sure everybody was okay, I just kept thinking, "It’s going to be alright." "We are going to make it through." READ MORE from Dr. Rosalind's Blog and join in the discussion of how thinking hope is a powerful force for dealing with life's challenges both big and small: I Will Not Be Shaken. ...

Tompkins and her works. I became attached to Dr. Tompkins when my mother, Rev. Dr. Bernyce Clausell, announced at a Black History program that Dr. Tompkins was her role Model. I was going through some issues of life and HOPE dwelled in me. But after going through life coaching, mentorship, and seminary school with Dr Tompkins, now I dwell in HOPE.
