EP 316: Lead With Love with Jadah Sellner

Another dear friend and repeat guest is with us today - Jadah Sellner. Jadah is one of my favorite people to jam on business with since her approach is totally focused and centered on love and having a vision that means something to you - but we spent a good chunk of this chat talking about trauma, healing and growth. And when we do get to the business stuff - no matter what you do in the world, much of what she talks about is totally applicable to other career paths. We got into how going to therapy has helped her move forward in areas of her life and business in ways she couldn't have anticipated, how we can use our stories responsibly, and a few different things related to capacity - survival tendencies, being in the Zone of Excellence and how deeper listening creates space for more expansion. Enjoy this chat and if you are an entrepreneur be sure to invite your friends to listen and discuss the more unconventional points we covered...you know, for funsies! xo, E For more informa...

EP315: Managing The Motherload with Rebekah Borucki

My dear friend Rebekah Borucki is back for her third visit on Truth Telling and this time her big truth is around realizing that she has influence and is not the underdog she's perceived and positioned herself as for most of her life. We talked a lot about motherhood, from mom guilt, going after your dreams, finding balance in relationships, the difference between raising young kids and having older children, to dealing with conflicts, giving kids the space and support to be who they are meant to be, and more! The conversation is less about parenting and more about the experience of being a mother through all of its phases and stages. As always when Bex is in the house, it's a juice and deep conversation. Enjoy and share - especially with your mom groups and friends! xo, E For more information and for full show notes, head to http://untameyourself.com/315 Truth Telling with Elizabeth DiAlto aims to cut through the noise and ignorance of our current culture by exploring the truths of a diverse range of incredible voices. EP314: Back From Break, Queen Summer + More...

It feels goooood to be back y’all. So good. And it feels so good because DAMN I NEEDED THAT BREAK! I suspect I will take a summer break every summer from now on - but you know me, I always reserve the right to change my mind so we’ll see what summer 2020 brings when we get there. I’m recording this on Tuesday 8/27, it’ll air on Monday 9/2 and this morning I also officially popped back onto Instagram. I’ve been dabbling a bit in the last week or so, but there’s something about using intentional words to say, hello, I’m back, let’s do this, thank you for being here with me, here’s what’s up that feels right and appropriate to me. IG POST: Officially back from summer break ️♀️⠀ ⠀ I dubbed this my Queen Summer in June because I wanted to integrate some deep personal work I’d been doing for almost three years and “crown myself” before my 36th birthday. ⠀ ⠀ If you’re new here, I’m Elizabeth: Virgo Sun, Cap Moon, Gemini Rising. ENFJ. Manifesting Generator - 6/2, . From NY, live in LA. For fun I dance salsa and do stand up comedy.⠀ ⠀ Sensuality, nuance, discernment, curiosity, belly laughing, collective healing + liberation, fierce love, compassion and grace are some of my jams. ⠀ ⠀ I’m into remembering and embracing that we’re all fully human and fully divine. I lust for the mystical and the esoteric while keeping things grounded and real. ⠀ ⠀ I’m an embodiment teacher, creator of Wild Soul Movement, and host of the Truth Telling podcast - which turns 5 in 2020!⠀ ⠀ My life’s work is about healing, growth, embodiment and truth (the kind that’s always evolving within us and around us).⠀ ⠀ I work with clients 1:1, do Akashic Records readings, have a year long online women’s circle called POWER, run about 10 workshops /yr and train teachers in Wild Soul Movement. ⠀ ⠀ I think masterminds are overdone so in 2020 I’m debuting a new retreat-based experience called SACRED - a soulful exploration of JOY through travel, connection and restoration. I’m gonna take 12 “high powered” womxn on four life altering adventures ️⠀ ⠀ I keep up my education and practice to be trauma and social justice informed and choose to roll with people who are doing the same.⠀ ⠀ I’m also here to explore what it means to reclaim and redefine womxnhood for the 21st century.⠀ ⠀ I’m not into cancel culture, but I am into integrity and accountability, so I won’t stand for or be party to willful ignorance, manipulative or abusive behavior, however, I will always root for folks to learn, heal, grow and do better.⠀ ⠀ In 2019 I decided to post more movement videos to remind people to spend more time in their bodies. I tag them #wsm222 and you can find them in my stories now.⠀ ⠀ I appreciate your time, energy and attention more than you could know. Thank you so much for being here with me ️ Enjoy the episode! EP312: Girlfriend Chat: Dating, Love, Sex and Relationships with Linda Abbott

My friend Linda Abbott is my very favorite person to jam on dating, love, sex and relationships with. We debrief after many dates and conversations and experiences with men. We hold each other up in tender moments when things don't work out, when our hearts get broken open (again and again), and when things do work out and it's time to expand. We also keep each other accountable to the healing we've both done around breaking old patterns and habits around codependency, tolerating poor treatment, and being able to see red flags and hold loving, compassionate and firm boundaries with both ourselves and others. This chat is something we've been cooking up for months. We scanned over our texts and jotted down some of the most important things we've been through in the last year in all realms of the heart, intimacy, devotion, pleasure and more, and we committed to hitting a record and just talking until we were done. That ended up being two hours and forty minutes, so grab some tea, brea...

EP311: Simple, Soulful, Sacred with Megan Dalla-Camina

Megan Dalla-Camina is on the show today and we're talking about womanhood, rebirthing, softening of edges, receptivity, unfolding, unraveling and coming into truth. So many of our favorite things on this show! She dropped some terms I loved - appreciative inquiry and positive core - and she talked about navigating a deficit based world by finding openings and focusing on our strengths. We discussed the difference between things that make sense and things that "want to come through," how scary it can be to be soft, especially if you over-identify with being strong, why "leaning in" isn't always great advice, and this distinction I really loved - between simple, boring, settling, and creating drama. Enjoy, share and let us know what parts were your favorite! xo, E For more information and for full show notes, head to http://untameyourself.com/311 Truth Telling with Elizabeth DiAlto aims to cut through the noise and ignorance of our current culture by exploring the truths of a diverse ...

EP 310: Leadership and Community Care with Nisha Moodley

I am not sure how it's taken me four years to get my dear friend Nisha Moodley on the podcast, but I'm grateful for the divine timing and the depth, beauty and importance woven through this conversation. Nisha's big truth was that community care is a huge aspect of our path forward. We talked about how our understanding of what we need in community has changed, what exactly community care is, what togetherness and our ability to be real with each other looks like, as well as the layers of complexity to all of this. We explored the vulnerability in asking for what you need and receiving it, especially when complex relationship dynamics are present, and how we create space for ourselves and others. We touched on restorative justice, when talking is a useful action and when it's not, the power in paradox and when honest self-reflection is needed. It's a juicy, listen more than once type of episode. Enjoy, share, and let us know how it hits you! xo, E For more information and for full s...

EP309: From Maiden To Mother with Sarah Durham Wilson

Sarah Durham Wilson is back on the podcast today and we dove into the journey from Maiden to Mother. It's an archetypal journey - so no matter your age or whether or not you've birthed a human, a lot of what we cover may be relevant for you. We talked about the "initiations of strength" along the way, how in Maiden we take unhealthy risks in creativity and vulnerability, and by Mother we are moving from external validation to internal. Which led us to a beautiful conversation about boundaries and aging, postpartum depression, fear of betraying our own mothers, embodying our souls, becoming more present and finding the gold in seemingly "bad" things. Enjoy, share and let us know what lands for you! xo, E For more information and for full show notes, head to http://untameyourself.com/309 Truth Telling with Elizabeth DiAlto aims to cut through the noise and ignorance of our current culture by exploring the truths of a diverse range of incredible voices. EP308: Biz Chat: Running A Business That Aligns With Your Soul

A few weeks back I asked on IG stories what I should jam on this month in the solo episode and a surprising number of the questions were about business, so I decided to do a biz chat. The timing is also good as Summer is upon us and I’m doing the business immersion that I did last summer again. I resisted doing business coaching or mentoring for many years, because a) I find A LOT of business coaches to be pretty douchey and b) I’ve had really up and down experiences with them myself over the years, so it felt like a huge responsibility I didn’t necessarily want to take on. When enough people ask you for something though you begin to listen and accept that perhaps you have something of value to offer, and I realized my value lies in helping folks find what works for them, that can be aligned and sustainable. There are also some qualities of shared worldview, integrity and ethics my business clients tend to have: humanity and the collective > profits. But money does matter. Just n...

EP307: Using Water, Dance and Movement for Trauma Healing with Rocio Navarro

You all know how much I geek out on conversations about trauma and how we can move through things in ways that are accessible to us AND honor where we are in life. Today's conversation with Rocio Navarro hits on ALL OF THAT! Her big truth was about the nuances in how "surrender" is used in our culture. From there we talked about stepping into the unknown and being open to possibilities and how beautiful hard and everything in between life can be. Rocio shared how she uses and engages with water as a healing element. She shared how water has been her teacher and a path that reveals as so much of life is encapsulated in different densities of water. We talked about the relationship between hypervigilance, strength and resilience, dance as medicine and a trauma healing tool, AND we even touched on working with dreams. This was a really reach, deep and layered conversation about different ways we heal - I hope you'll listen more than once, let me know what lands for you and share it wit...
