Why Should I #HireAGraduate?

EIf the education we get from these institutions cannot take us back to our communities to restructure, revamp systems and rebuild organizations and small businesses, than I suggest we scrap this shit out for we are better off than seeing young, supposedly bright minds at crossroads with #HireAGraduate boards begging for jobs when they should at the least be carrying a prototype of an innovation that solves say a water crisis in a particular area like Mtuba and begging for funding / capital — Huge difference between the two.

My Brain has been hacked. The age of microchip implants

EIf you can map a person’s brain, if you can upgrade it, read its dreams, if you can repair broken neurons then what are the implications of all this in security? Are we closer, or even ready to have our dreams, our private thoughts being hacked into? In the age of privacy concerns, how would we protect our deepest and most private information (Our thoughts) if we struggle to protect our memes (Facebook and Twitter)? Or are we optimistic that suddenly there will be super encryption when the technology is finally ready and commercialized? Are you even comfortable with that much, that important information being controlled by a corporation?

Imagine a world without work. The look into the future of work-life balance

EIf you were to have to work 4 hours from home everyday, what would you do with your time? Who are we as people without our jobs? Would you spend all that time with your kids? Would you have a hobby? Start a business? Or what? This will be in my view the next cause of stress, depression and suicides. The fact that in the future people would have so much time to themselves and they wouldn’t know what to do with it. For now ask an unemployed youth what goes on in their minds everyday. It’s not pretty. Or ask a person who is starting a business. This people when closely checked or questioned we will uncover the psychological effects of people having too much time. Those effects won’t be good at all. Through our education we are trained to be at work everyday

Education 2.0

EMostly in our education, the biggest focus for the past few decades has been on memory where students would study multiple books to write a test or an assignment only to be graded on how much they remember (Their brain capacity). This would then be followed by a short practical work mostly in form of one year internship, practicals at schools and eventually climbing the corporate ladder.

Christianity in the age of Microchips

EThe discussion of microchip implants has been filled with criticisms and questions. This discussion has seen a spiritual people who are affiliated with going to church and reading the Bible questioning its effectiveness and intentions. My questions are where do we draw the line between implants and longevity together with quality of our lives? Are we choosing to live? Or do we opt to die for our faith even when health solutions are available?
