We sat down with Leiden University lecturer and Assistant Professor Dr. Maria Gabriela to talk about processes of economic foreignization in Latin America. She teaches courses on Economy: Latin America and Practising InternationalStudies at the Bachelor in International Studies and contribute to thecourse Organisational Theory, Culture and Behaviour. Her courses deal with two consistent streams of literature: political economy and development studies. Both are in evidence in this podcast, as the discussion begins with the consequences and legacies of European colonization in Latin America. Dr. Wang is also an associate fellow for Asia Programme at Chatham House: The Royal Institute of International Affairs. Marin Lucic is a student of International Studies at Leiden University focusing on East Asia.
