This week's guests, Emily and Alexis, were in Kriste's primary multiage class as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders (AKA Room 5). They both graduated from high school this year, and Emily is taking Kriste's writing class at Linn Benton Community College. They got together for a mini reunion. Alexis and Emily talked a lot about their jobs - Alexis works at a memory care facility and Emily is a lifeguard at a local pool. Kriste especially loved Alexis' response to her question, "What's your Kryptonite?"

On a trip to Walla Walla, Kriste chatted with her mother's 90+ year old aunt Dorothy, and Dorothy's son Bill. Dorothy told the story of how she met Bill's dad, Melvin. Bill talked about listening, something he's done a lot of thinking about. Kriste asked Bill has how he gets people to talk to him (he checks in on members of his church at their homes), and his answer has really had Kriste thinking.

Kriste chatted with Noah and Jacinda for this episode, Noah was Kriste's trusty sidekick (or vice versa) when he was a first grade student in her class. Now he's about to start his senior year of high school. Jacinda was in a digital storytelling project Kriste facilitated with a group of high school students. After that, Jacinda took Kriste's writing class, became a regular at a storytelling thing Kriste hosts (Noah is too), and is now a board member of the nonprofit Kriste and Andrea (of episode 1.3) are working to create. Jacinda gets the trio started talking about shape-shifting, and Noah schools Jacinda and Kriste in the world of antonyms. To be fair, this episode was recorded in the afternoon, which is K & J's least effective time of day.
