#22 Live from ChitChat: Women's HiSTORY Tellers

EThis episode of P Power Radio was recorded live at the Chit Chat Women’s Panel, brought to in collaboration with the Cliche Collectiv. Every month, I facilitate a panel of boss bitches, and sometimes mediocre, but noble dudes, who are experts in the field of topic we’ve chosen to discuss that month. In March, we hosted a panel of amazing women in honor of Women’s History Month, who do the work of telling women’s stories from a marginalized lens. I’m a super fan of all of the women on the panel, and after you hear this episode, I’m sure you will be too! The episode features two performances, one by McKenzie Chinn, who is one third of The Growing Concerns Poetry Collective. That comes later in the episode, but first you’ll hear a story from, Lily Be, a Mexican-American, Chicago Native, Storytelling LEGEND. Who kicks off this episode with a story from her one woman show entitled No Hay Mal. This episode was recorded live at Reunion Chicago, a queer owned and operated co-working ...

#19 Strength Of A Woman Pt. 1 w/ Coriama

EIn late 2016, the news of Mary J Blige’s petition for divorce from her husband of 13 years, had some of us overjoyed. I’m not gonna lie, I was slightly one of those people. Not because I wish terrible things on the Queen of Hip Hop Soul. But because we all know that Mary J Blige, the original round the way girl, makes the best music when it comes from her real and raw emotions. But after 13 albums, 9 Grammys, A Golden Globe and a shit load of other accolades, why do we talk about Mary J Blige's struggles more than we talk about her successes? Join your host, Tribbz, and this week's guest Coriama (@CoriamaCouture) the creator and facilitator of The Sex KiKi, as they explore how MJB has inspired generations of women to be transparent.
