Mexican border pass at day 9

During my return to Dallas I stayed a day in El Paso and rode across the border to Mexico. A little sketchy ride to an area ruled by cartels (which I first found out after).

A week in and the day wasn’t as expected but it still offered an epic one, climbing the 35k climb Mt Lemmon.

Yesterday I raced a crit in Redlands and these two making an incredible important volunteer job. Without people like them not many cities would be able to host races. So thank you!

On Saturday I did the Saddleback GF and met three really nice, strong and cool riders from the “hood.” Local cyclist who share a little of how it’s to be a rider in Southern California.

On Day 5 of the Hope Journey I arrived LA and look back on the day before riding in Death Valley meeting Elena and Artur and hear how the enjoy the freedom by riding their bikes.
