Darcy Piceu – Episode 05

Something important has been missing from the first four episodes of Parent Athlete, that something is a mom. I’m excited to bring you a conversation with Darcy Piceu, a legend in the sport of ultrarunning for over 16 years who shows no signs of slowing down. She is a past winner of the Hardrock 100, Wasatch 100, Hurt 100, Bear 100, holds the Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the John Muir Trail, and the list goes on. Just as impressive as her running resume is Darcy’s raising of her nine year old daughter, Sophia, and her work as a therapist. We discuss what fostered her love for the outdoors, balancing all the demands in her life, lessons she teaches Sophia through pursuit of her passion for running, and more.
