Furness H1 - Slickhawk fills in / Minshew Mania / Antonio Brown released / Greg Cosell's opponent preview / Something Good

Ian is out again today, so Slickhawk is once again sitting in. Minshew Mania has swept across Florida as the Jacksonville Jaguars got a win over the Titans last night. He really legitimately might actually be good. Closer to home, the Seahawks will take on the Drew Brees-less Saints on Sunday. NFL Films and NFLMatchu's Greg Cosell previews the matchup between the two teams on Sunday. The Patriots have released Antonio Brown. That didn't take very long. No one seemed to understand the decision to draft Daniel Jones in the first round, but just three weeks into the season, the Giants have benched Eli Manning and are ready to give Jones a shot. Eli Manning will make the Hall of Fame, but he isn't a Hall-of-Famer. Remember yesterday's Something Good story? Well the money just keeps pouring in.

Furness H1 - Slickhawk in / Brees-less Saints still a concern / Glad we're not Dolphins fans / Jim Walden / Something Good

Ian is out, Slickhawk is in this afternoon. Speaking of being absent, Drew Brees obviously won't be playing this weekend, and although no one likes to see someone hurt, Hawks fans are rejoicing over dodging a legendary quarterback as an opponent. It's not going to be that easy though. Brees has seen the peak of his career and is on the way down. Sean Payton has already compensated for Brees' deficiencies. Bridgewater isn't your average backup quarterback. It's going to be a challenge. As things continue to unfold in Miami, we can be thankful we have the ownership we do here in Seattle. A Duck talks to a Coug about Cougar football as Jim Walden joins Slickhawk about the mind of Mike Leach, last weekend's close game, and more. On Something Good, a man holds up a sign asking for money for beer, and ends up raising $200,000.

Furness H1 - At the VMAC / Coaches stick with coaches / KJ Wright / Something Good: Tony Bennett

It's Wednesday, so of course Ian is out at the VMAC as the Hawks get ready to take on New Orleans this coming weekend. Pete Carroll just wrapped up his Wednesday chat with the media. Among other things, he referenced the continuing debate over paying players, stating that he's against it, and it really isn't a surprise. Coaches stick with coaches; guys who have made six or seven figures a year are going to defend the system that has made them their money. KJ Wright sits down with Ian talking about the opportunity to stay in Seattle, comparisons between this team and the 2013 Hawks team, and more. Virginia coach, and former WSU coach, Tony Bennett had every opportunity to get a raise, but instead chose to have that money put into providing opportunities for his players: that's today's Something Good.
