238 Sam Laidlow wins Lakesman in 8.21 on debut!

Sam Laidlow won the Lakesman Iron-distance race in 8.21 - at 20 years old, in his first Ironman race! Or so we thought .... :) It turns out that he'd already won the Bearman Xtreme Iron distance race, when he was 18 years old - and he'd only entered that the day before! We catch up with this amazingly talented young athlete and hear about his upbringing, with his parents running a triathlon coaching camp and business in France. 'Ever since I was a young kid, all I've wanted was to win Kona,' he tells us. And with a 2.42 run in this event, who would bet against that happening sooner, rather than later?!
