EWelcome back to a BRAND NEW episode of the Epic Film Guys podcast... sort of! Unfortunately we are still on hiatus ladies and gentlemen, but I've got a ton of pre-recorded content yet to drop before the end of the year. So please enjoy this latest installment in our "To the Tens" series with our 2015 in Film retrospective! John Woo's Hard Boiled w/ Paul from The Countdown!

EAnother week, another bit of programming from the EFG backlog. Due to some unfortunate real-life issues I've been having, I haven't had the time to sit for a recording or do any podcast editing whatsoever, for which I truly apologize. I appreciate your patience as I deal with a difficult time with my family and look ahead to the future and what comes next. This week on the show please enjoy another of the special spotlights I recorded with Paul from The Countdown Movie and TV reviews featuring John Woo's Hard Boiled featuring International Action Star Chow-Yun Fat! Thank you all so much for listening. We'll see you at the movies!

Train to Busan w/ Paul from The Countdown!

EWelcome ladies and gentlemen to another spotlight presentation from the Epic Film Guys as unfortunately no, there is no main show release this week. Instead, please enjoy another of the spotlights I recorded with Paul from The Countdown Movie and TV Reviews for this year's 3rd Annual Livestream for the Cure. Paul couldn't make the show live but he still really wanted to be part of it, so we recorded a series of spotlights- mostly of films I had never seen- to use as material during stream breaks. This spotlight is all about Train to Busan, a Korean horror film directed by Yeon Sang-ho set mostly on a train during the onset of a zombie apocalypse. What did I think? You'll have to tune in to find out! Regular episodes of the show will return very soon. I have been extremely busy with a number of things lately and I haven't had the time to see any movies or sit for a recording much less edit the show. Next week I hope we can finally get you our reviews of Ad Astra and Hustlers, and I k...

Episode 069 REDUX! John Carpenter Retrospective w/ The Countdown!

EHello everyone and welcome to a very special episode of the Epic Film Guys... REDUX!!! I've got some pressing matters to attend to, so unfortunately I was not able to finish the edit on the 2015 in film retrospective that was supposed to land this week. HOWEVER, I decided that instead of just publishing an old episode wholesale, you'll get some new content with this refurbished version of episode 69. This comes from way back in October 2016 with our good friends The Countdown Movie and TV Reviews as we do an entire John Carpenter Retrospective! Nick drinks a Pumpkin Beer: 07:51 John Carpenter Retrospective: 30:12 Blooper Reel: 01:17:52 Also this week, hear what happened the time I drank a rum barrel-aged pumpkin beer, and I've got a special segment in the back half of the show featuring an all-new never-before-heard blooper reel! I appreciate your patience as I focus on some other things, but fear not as we'll be back next week with Kevin Brackett and our very own LoySocks himself t...

IT Chapter 2 Scares a 9/10 Rating out of Nick!

EHello one and all and welcome to a BRAND NEW Epic Film Guys with drama GALORE! We've got drama on the Facebook page and computer drama, as LoySauce's computer decided not to charge so he recorded segment one, then drove to Justin's house while we recorded segment FOUR, then jumped in for our FULL review of IT Chapter 2! The end result, however, is an amazing review split up in spoiler and non-spoiler segments, so listen at your heart's content and skip segment three if you haven't seen the film. Justin is jetting off to Italy (and is already there as of this release) so we had to record early, so Nick's Watchlist will return in the next ACTUAL episode which will be two weeks from today (assuming you're reading this on release day 09/12). What're Ya Drinkin'?: 9:00 IT Chapter 2 SPOILER-FREE Review: 15:21 IT Chapter 2 FULL SPOILER Review: 44:35 Hot Takes: 01:23:43 Epic Previews: 01:30:21 Also this week, trailers for Bad Boys for Life and the latest reboot of Black Christmas! Ready or Not, I've got a Bologna Sandwich!!

EHello and welcome ladies and gentlemen to a brand new episode of the Epic Film Guys podcast! Justin was supposed to be here this week to talk all things Camp Blood V and help us review Ready or Not, but unfortunately he was a bit under the weather and we couldn't work out the recording schedule. Not to worry, as we are joined by long-time friend of both myself and the show, Director Brenic of the Netflix 'n Swill podcast! Aside from the featured review this week, Dan also helps me take a look at THREE trailers in Epic Previews this week, all films appropriately enough that are coming to Netflix! We've got a look at the Breaking Bad movie El Camino, Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story, and The King! Nick's Watchlist: 06:26 Ready or Not Spoiler-Free Review: 36:21 Ready or Not Full Spoiler Review: 51:22 Epic Previews: 01:10:04 Also this week, Dan checks out a movie on a throw-away recommendation from Nick and only manages to make it through seven minutes, and Nick watches one of the WORST f...
