How Did I Get Here? - Abigail Fuller

EAbigail Fuller may not be a household name yet but the project she just completed directing most certainly is. Chef's Table, on Netflix, has become one of the streaming giant's most highly regarded shows mixing the tried and true food on television method with high art. However Abigail's story is not defined by one spectacular project, it is instead the culmination of years of hard work and networking. With her feature documentary, Do You Dream in Color?, about to be released to the public and one of her two episodes of Chef's table being released today, Abigail is a woman on the rise. So, today, on a special Friday edition of the Life of Cahill podcast, it only seems right that Abigail Fuller stops by and asks herself, How Did I Get Here?

How Did I Get Here? - J Van Auken Pt. 1

EToughness is not an attribute used very often to describe artists. However it is the perhaps the best way to describe J Van Auken. Growing up in icy Minnesota J realized his true calling was to make his movies look like TV, so he set off for one of the toughest film programs in the country and eventually found his way to Los Angeles. After working on bad projects as a cinematographer just to pay the rent it was clear J needed a change. Since, he has put up life and limb in order to see his feature film, Revelator, become a reality. Using a combination of relationships and saved up money to direct and star in the horror thriller that will be released later this year J truly embodies the indie filmmaker spirit. This week on Life Of Cahill J Van Auken, in part one of a two part conversation, sits down and asks himself, how did I Get Here?
