About Us

Nico and Adam are two film nerds, on a mission to catalog the best movies of all time. Each week, the hosts nominate six movies from a particular year for induction. But ultimately, only one will earn a coveted spot in the Movie Hall of Fame.

Class of 1974

With the wounds (mostly) healed from last week's E.T. vs Blade Runner debate, Nico and Adam jump into the films of 1974. Will it be Young Frankenstein (18:15), Blazing Saddles (28:04), The Conversation (37:02), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (47:24), The Godfather Part II (1:03:00) or Chinatown (1:19:04)? This decision–or more specifically, how it plays out–may shock you. Class of 1982

It’s finally here. The bloodiest fight in podcast history. Their arsenals are loaded, their battle plans are drawn. And now, Nico and Adam are ready to debate the best film of 1982. We begin with a cordial conversation about The Thing (11:35), Tootsie (26:42), The King of Comedy (36:12), The Verdict (49:04). But then, Nick Evangelista joins the program to preside over the madness. Will it be Blade Runner or E.T. the Extra Terrestrial that’s declared best of the year (1:02:00)? The answer may shock you, and the Movie Hall of Fame may never be the same. Ari Aster has done it again. For his follow-up to 2018's Hereditary, the horror visionary made something so depraved, so disturbing, so fundamentally messed up, that no moviegoers should ever be forced to endure it.
