About Us

Each week in the queer horror podcast Horror Queers, Joe Lipsett and Trace Thurman tackle a horror film with LGBTQ+ themes, a high camp quotient or both. For these lifelong queer horror fans, there’s as much value in serious discussions about representation as there is in reading a ridiculously silly/fun horror film with a YAS KWEEN mentality. Just know that at no point will they be getting Babashook.

Scream: Resurrection (2019)

SPOILERS: We are spoiling the series, but it's SO BAD that we don't recommend anyone watch it. In this special episode, the boys swing by Atlanta to check the latest iteration of the Scream franchise. Alas the Deadfast Club proves to be as uninspired as their attempts at metatextuality. This series has virtually nothing to offer, only bad writing, bad acting, terrible pacing, and lacklustre kills. Plus: the killer reveal is one of the most offensive insults to horror fans in quite some time.
