Richard Parry-Jones is an automotive engineering leader who worked for the Ford Motor Company for 38 years. Richard spent nearly ten years as group Vice President in charge of Research and Development for Ford and its subsiduary companies worldwide, leading a staff of 30,000 Product Development professionals in 15 countries. He was also the company's Chief Technical Officer up until his retirement in 2007. He now consults a range of blue-chip clients and is involved in a number of engineering and education related projects in the UK and beyond. This lecture covers his career from designing the brakes on the Ford Capri right up until his ventures into motorsport, including working on the Jaguar Formula One team.
