There was a brief Congregational Meeting following the service today. Our first, and hopefully only, drive-in meeting used ballots to vote for or against those nominated to Elder and Deacon positions as well as to vote on an amendment to the rules which would retroactively allow Session meetings to be held over video conferencing. All nominees were confirmed and all measures were passed unanimously. Prelude - "Come, Christians Join to Sing" (Arr. All Saints Day, November 1, 2020

Welcome back for All Saints' Day and Communion Sunday! This is the time of year when we remember that we are present not in one world, but two. Our presence is the Spiritual world is indelible, yet our perception of it has been (mostly) sealed. However, we are reminded that our dismissal from the Physical world is also a welcoming into the fullness of the Spiritual world and, by definition, a welcoming into the fullness of the presence of God.Similarly, there is wealth in the Physical world and there is wealth in the Spiritual world. Those who have great physical wealth may be poor in spiritual wealth and those who are spiritually wealthy may have few physical possessions. Today, we see how, while the Spiritual world may be imperceptible at the moment, it is fully present and often affects the Physical world in unexpected ways.Prelude - "Holy, Holy, Holy" (arr. Week five of the drive-in service came with more growth in technology and more growing pains. World Communion Sunday, October 4, 2020

Welcome to World Communion Sunday! We would normally hold a much larger celebration with much more interaction, but it was decided that it would be wasteful to collect breads baked in the many ways of the world and then be unable to hold the usual small feast afterward. Moreover, the transmission risk posed by redistributing the bread was also one we did not wish to confront. Instead, the congregation brought the flags of their ancestry to celebrate the many points of origin we have on God's whole earth. Also, I accidentally uploaded the wrong file last week. Thanks to Marcia, who brought the error to my attention. Prelude - Thou Art Worthy (arr. Welcome back for our fourth drive-in service. We have another addition this week—hymns! We now have the ability to play pre-recorded audio, which opens up a large library of possibilities. Unfortunately, I didn't get the balance of the recording right this week and the podcast suffers from it. I'm still tweaking things and adding new bits and pieces each week and hope to balance everything out soon, or return to the much more familiar Sanctuary setup.Prelude - Even So, Lord Jesus Come (arr.
