E100 Old Testament: Day 26

Changing into the Wedding Garment

Again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. . . So the servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests.” Matthew 22.1-2, 9-10 God’s invitation is wide open, even to the tax collector, prostitutes, those who are blind, those who are lame, even us. But God’s love is not content to leave us where we are. God’s love is transformative. God’s love heals. God’s love makes us new.
