Michael Anaya / The Quarantine Series

EAnother beautifully done quarantine episode with my dear old friend Michael Anaya coming to you live (no this is not live) all the way from New Orleans. Michael and I share our interests in the films, shows, music, and books that have been keeping us sane during all the down time and the work we're able to get done while everything else has come to a terrifying halt. But it's ok kids, sooner or later we'll be able to hold hands again and share Juuls like society was meant to be. Also in the episode Micheal discuss' his wood working business, "M.A. Designs" so make sure to click the link attached to check out his work and if you're a New Orleans local, give him money and he'll make you something. Same goes for his fiance Katherine who also runs her own side business, "NOLA Nails & Mermaid Tails." So check out her site as well in the link below. Damn... why haven't I started my own side business? I'm thinking bite sized bagels but they come with pizza toppings and you can only heat th...

"Fresh Of Breath Air" / The Quarantine Series

EWelcome back to another episode of "The Quarantine Series" on Conversations From A Room. Today is extra special because this episode is brought to you by "Fresh Of Breath Air". LA's hottest sketch comedy troupe on the market (not at all). A rag-tag team of jack-holes by the names of Julio Macias, Alex Vergel, Maxwell Hamilton, and myself. These guys all drop in for a little "zoom" chat about... well nothing really (It's a real Seinfeld situation). But we make sure to share our insights on what we've been doing to keep ourselves entertained during these trying times (honestly folks it's just a lot of film & tv). But if you would like to see us in action, make sure to check out and subscribe to "Fresh Of Breath Air" on our youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt6uwlSqG1rc_btjEWEYd2w?view_as=subscriberLove, KrisAlso as I mentioned at the top of the episode, here's where you can donate directly to the Center of Disease Control and purchase mask's from The Reformation.CDC Foundation: https://give4cdcf.org/?utm_source=CDCF&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=combat-coronavirusThe Reformation Masks: https://www.thereformation.com/pages/millionsofmasksThemes by @gilbertlouieraymusicInstagram: @mucho_beaucoup @ajuliomacias @maxwellhamilton @kristianlugoQuestions? Joshua Jean-Baptiste & Frank Hernandez “You Gotta Have Grit”

ELadies and Gentlemen quarantining all over the world. Gather round and tune into a brand new, germ free, fresh episode of Conversations From A Room. And what a special episode it is, for I get to sit down with not one, but two very excellent, artistic, and inspiring human beings. Long time friend Joshua Jean-Baptiste, and new best friend Frank Hernandez. The best part about talking with these guys is that although we’re just big clowns, we're equally super passionate about the arts. We talk about our process on how to communicate to an audience, the seriousness of a good joke, and the grit we need in order to push through. Also we discuss the importance in speaking the truth in any art form. It’s the only way in really connecting to the audience. And as always, we go hard on film and the movies that matter to us. Whether good or bad, there’s always something to discuss. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.Love,KrisAd: Bernie-Bots: Every Flavor Movies “Change the way you taste...

Josh Gilmer “Go Big or Go Home”

EToday I get to sit down with an all around amazing and talented dude, Josh Gilmer ladies and gentlemen! Josh and I right away had so much to discuss considering we are one of the same. We both have an incredible passion for the world of cinema and the art of performing. Growing up in a small town Josh new he was ready to break out of his shell and hit the big leagues. We’re talking Hollywood baby! Acting wasn’t the first thing Josh imagined he’d be taking as a career path but he fell in love with the craft and has been pursuing it ever since. We talk about the pressure working on film, preparing for a role, committing to your work, and completely trusting yourself to get the job done even if doubt carries a heavy toll. Because at the end of the day its “Go Big or Go Home”…. (walks away in slow motion while car explodes in the background without looking back… even though you really want to)Love, KrisP.S. Make sure to catch Josh in the new pilot of “Wild West Chronicles” in T...

Matt Linton “You wanna hear a funny stand-up story?”

EMen, women, and children… gather round for a new story of great joy and despair, of great cleverness and stupidity, and of course of great conversation and complete waste of time! Put your hands together for my guest today, Matt Linton. We have a nice fun chat about the world of comedy, something we both hold close to our hearts. Comedy is the reason why Matt got into entertainment in the first place. Starting off as a straight laced business man, Matt realized working in comedy was waaaaay better (obviously). He realized right away not only was comedy something he truly loved to do, but that he was pretty damn good at it. Matt started doing sketch comedy and improv at USC where he was able to explore his funny side, making his presence in the comedy community, and pursuing it ever since. We’ll discuss our favorite live experiences, why comedy is important in life, what our families probably think of us, and why the fuck everyone listens to Joe Rogan. So welcome to a new day folks...

Jon Young "You Shouldn't Change For Hollywood"

EToday I sit down with a gentlemen and a scholar, Jon Young. We discuss the true nature of hard work, confidence, and foolery. Jon has always knew he was going to be in some way or another a man at center stage. Whether it was on a baseball diamond or in front of a live audience, Jon is no stranger to crowds of people cheering him on. He’s had a lot of ups and downs in his life but nothing has ever stopped him from pursing his dreams. I had the pleasure of hearing Jon’s story and his views on Hollywood, performing, film, and why he laughs in the face of fear (Yes… that’s what said). So enjoy this new episode with actor, comedian, writer, and producer Jon Young.Love, KrisAd: Special guest Mike Micheals stops by to promote his new product “Java Good Mornin"Theme by @gilbertlouieraymusicInstagram: @jonyoungactor @kristianlugoQuestions? EA man that means so goddam much to me, Noah Gray ladies and gentlemen! This guy right here has been a part of my life for so long that I consider him a brother (even though I would never want him in my family). We discuss his life in politics and his career as a man of “the press.” We eventually talk about fun stuff, don’t worry. Like Truman Capote dropping in as a special guest to promote “Love Handles.” (yes, that’s what I said).Love, KrisAlso if anyone knows how to get in touch with Seth Rogan, DM Noah or I.
