His exciting career involved excessive travel and late hours. All this did take a toll on his health, weight and vitals. He got hit by a series of ailments. Not able to immediately take on any high intensity exercises, Hemant decided to walk his way back to fitness. Hemant is a sports broadcaster by profession and a sportsman by passion A very late detection of Ankylosing Spondylitis - This auto immune ailment unfortunately impacted his eye and caused Uveitis. The treatment further led to a stage of Glaucoma in one of his eyes. When he almost lost his vision. All this led to him having to stop active sports. He shares his journey to re-create his I am FIT identity by a starting a disciplined walking routine. He soon realises the benefits of Walking. And now there is no stopping. An Ex-Ten Sports Head and Sr Vice President of Production and a sports writer. An alumni of the prestigious St Stephens college. Hemant works on live broadcast of cricket all over the world. When he isn’t working, he’s probably writing about cricket. During the pandemic Hemant got time to reflect on his life. Hemant Albert Soreng shares his experience of living life moment by moment. A serious knee injury in college brought his sports and fitness engagements to a halt and fear of pain took control. As an early entrepreneur, in 2000, he co-founded, one of the first digital marketing agencies in India. IRONMAN Aarathi - A one arm swim, a bruised shoulder and a broken cycle

IRONMAN Aarathi Swaminathan, one of the only 12 or 15 Women IRONMANs from India.. Aarathi was participating in an Ironman 70.3 in Goa , as part of her preparation for her IRONMAN in Australia jiust over a month later. She was stung badly by jelly fishes.. She continued swimming with one hand. To make matters more traumatic she gets knocked down on the cycle route and runs 5 Km with a broken cycle and a bruised shoulder. The incident only made her stronger and more determined to do well. Just two months later she goes on to complete her full IRONMAN race in Australia in the second fastest time by an Indian woman. An Ex National Track athlete who took a hiatus from fitness engagements to focus on a designing career in the fashion industry. Sometimes You lose your I AM FIT identity along the way.. But an identity so strong cant just be kept suppressed. The resurgence was bound to happen - a passion re ignited via triathlons. She is someone who has seen life in the pre independence years as a freedom fighter, felt the agony and ecstasy of the independence and is now seeing the world transition towards a technology era .
