Mariam is a member of the Qatar National team, representing Qatar as a 400 m hurdler. She was an ambassador for the 2019 World Championships in Doha, the first time these championships were held in the Middle East. She is also a communications student at Northwestern University in Qatar, and an entrepreneur. She very recently launched her own brand called Jama. Mariam shares a funny story, with a very important message about her first time competing in the Gulf championships. Last week we spoke about to Zainab, a hijabi rugby player.
