#44 Steph Comiskey - The Client Podcast #7

EIn this final episode of the client podcast series 1, I'm speaking with Steph Comiskey. I began working with Steph towards the end of lockdown 1 with goals primarily focused around her performance in jiu jitsu. What that meant for us what tidying up from a body compositional point of view, developing Steph's physical strength specifically for jiu jitsu and increasing her overall cardiovascular fitness. In this podcast, we get a look at Steph's David Goggins/ Jock Willink-esque mindset that did nothing but compliment the process working towards these goals. #43 Jack Kinsella - The Client Podcast #6

EToday I'm speaking with client and good friend Jack Kinsella. I've been working with Jack for just short of a year, and the change we've seen in not only Jack's body composition, but also mentality towards training and life in general has been surreal. Jack came to me as an aspiring personal trainer, understanding full well that having a coach as a coach yourself is game changing in your own progression. In the sign up process, Jack realised that there was some weight that needed shifting, and 10 month later, 40+ lbs down and now 2 months into what seems to be the start of a long term gaining phase, Jack has really shown an insane work ethic towards these goals. In this podcast, we talk about how Jack lost those 40lbs, went from being unable to run 1km to doing a 10km faster than yours truly (Jack, if you're reading this... I'm coming for you lad), to unleashing what I can only describe as an Irish Ronnie Coleman in the gym. For online coaching inquiries - www.coachedbydan.com Follo...

#42 Rochelle Howell Cawley - The Client Podcast #5

EToday, I had the pleasure of chatting to online client, Rochelle! Rochelle started working with myself online towards the end of July 2018 as the first lock down came to an end. Having a rugby background and a frequent gym background, Rochelle came to me for sense of accountability and structure to excel her efforts in working towards her health and fitness goals! Being self employed, a wife and a mum, Rochelle is a very busy person, and in this podcast, Rochelle explains how important taking action what we can control is in that strive towards your goals! If we change nothing, nothing changes - and Rochelle really did take action towards those changes, and the 20lbs lost, the huge increase in size and overall physical appearance change really speak for themselves! EToday, I am delighted to be bringing long term client Eoghan Flanagan back onto the podcast! I had Eoghan on way back on episode #18 to chat about taking action and being happy so be sure to check that out before listening to this one! I've been working with Eoghan for just under 2 years now, began in January 2019 and we haven't looked back! In this time we've gotten Eoghan outrageously lean in a priming phase to optimise health markers before a big gaining phase which we are currently knee deep in, with the plan of a photoshoot in spring 2021! This episode, we chat about Eoghan's journey from working a job he simply hated and seeking that happiness through taking what he applied in his own action taking while working towards his health and fitness goals and applied it to all other aspects of life, having him at his happiest self he is right now! #40 John Condren - The Client Podcast #3

EToday, I'm joined by John Condren, a client that started working with me in March 2019. Through working with John for nearly 2 years, we've gotten to know each other very well. As a result, this has made the coaching process and the efficiency of which we work towards John's goals, absolutely incredible. From dropping over 20lbs to gaining an insane amount of strength in the gym, to most recently completing a solo marathon in under 3 hours 30 minutes, which we chat about in great detail - This podcast is for all those who wish to go above and beyond with the goals they set. Those who do not want to settle for average, but welcome a challenge in the most relaxed, John Condren way, I can imagine! "Will we run a marathon John?" "Sure, I don't see why not." #38 Margaret Forbes - The Client Podcast #1

EThis week I am bringing you a brand new mini series within the podcast itself. Monday - Sunday, I will be releasing a podcast where I speak to different clients who have achieved their own unique goals. In these podcasts, we discuss where they were when they started, their struggles, how they achieved their goals and most importantly, advice they would give someone who is currently in the shoes they once stood. First up I'm speaking with Mags (Mags, I'm sorry for not putting "Mags" in the title). Mags works as a chef and has been working with me since March 2019. In the time working together, from a physical stand point, there is been a weight loss of over 40lbs. What lead to this was a change in mindset and a change in how we approached the situation. The effort is very rarely the issue when working towards certain goals, but more so where that effort is placed. In this episode, Mags and I chat in depth about that change in approach, her struggles and what's come from it! Feel free to share these with anyone you feel would benefit from listening to them! #36 Health Before Aesthetics

EThis week, I sat down solo to discuss what I feel is a seriously important message we need to understand before going through any compositional changes. You may have heard the phrase: "We can't fire a cannon from a canoe" - meaning in order to see any good results in term of body compositional changes (fat loss/ building muscle) we first need to lay the foundations for a good baseline level of health. If you're trying to drop body fat or build muscle effectively but you're only getting 5 hours of sleep a night, you're beyond stressed and don't know how to manage it, maybe you've got relatively high blood pressure, your ability to recover is sub par, your relationship with food could be improved or you have a slight injury - It's going to make the process of building muscle/ dropping body fat near impossible. In this week's episode, I discuss why it's so important to improve ones overall health to a solid baseline prior to undergoing any compositional push, how to go about doing it, and what to expect as a result! Be sure to share this podcast, either to your friends or on your stories, just be sure to tag me if you do! For any online coaching inquiries - www.coachedbydan.com
