About Us

The Jawshop Podcast is a place where music recording of all kinds is discussed. Host Paul Clifford is a professional drummer, songwriter and producer. With some special guests the focus will be on the creative, using both in and out of box techniques to achieve good sound. Touring, live sound and basic survival are also where conversations will be at home.

Applying for the Mentor Program at the Screen Composers Guild of Canada, Adventure Recording airstream outings at a cell tower with contact mics on cables and kick drum and stomp board recorded at The Macleans Cemetery in Grey Bruce, first time using midi and samples wih new AKAI MPK Mini, featuring a small piece recently recorded from samples taken from an abandoned prison farm session in the woods of northern Ontario.
