Assistant Professor at the School of Public Affairs in the University of Texas Abigail Aiken, originally from Derry brought the findings to the Oireachtas. Speaking from Austin, she outlines the history of the abortion pill, discusses the inclusion of her research in the referendum debate and the current debate around abortion in the United States.

She continues to call for the loosening of the legislation under which Ireland's new abortion service is run.
