The BradCast w/ Brad Friedman
On today's 'BradCast': Desi Doyen covers the latest on the devastating, record, climate changed-fueled wildfire infernos wreaking havoc up and down the West Coast, and the new record hurricanes bearing down on the US Gulf Coast. With at least 35 dead from the Western states' fires so far, and more than 3 million acres burned in California alone, Donald Trump traveled to California to deny the existence of man-made climate change exists to state officials and fire scientists. Corporate media has made it much easier for Trump to misinform the nation with his lies because they have done a terrible job in educating the electorate, and failed to educate the public about our woefully vulnerable, hackable, rickety election system. JENNY COHN, attorney and election security advocate, discusses her new video that warns voters about security vulnerabilities in our elections, like remote access modems that are installed in voting and tabulation systems in key states -- including battlegrounds Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin -- that make the entire electoral system vulnerable to hackers. Cohn is calling for those modems to be removed from all systems in states that use them before the November election. She also explains some of her worst fears about this year's elections, and offers actions helpful "Tips to Mitigate Threats to Our Votes and Voter Registrations Before November" that voters can use to get involved and help improve election security, with Election Day now just 50 days away.
