About Us

A new "old time radio" program. This audio theater program pays homage to the golden age of scripted radio programs. The show airs on 14 stations in 4 states and online including WAPJ 105.1 FM, WHDD FM 91.9, WHDD AM 1020, WLHV FM 88.1 and WBSL FM 91.7 Nutmeg Junction features exceptional vocal actors from the talented theater community in northwest Connecticut. The show is written and created by J. Timothy Quirk with original music including the theme song by Robert C. Fullerton. The cast includes Kurt Boucher, Rich Cyr, Jandi Hanna,Josh Newey, Lana Peck, Caroline Sienkiwicz, Conrad Sienkiwicz and J. Timothy Quirk. Additional guest vocal actors join the show and musical guests abound!

Episode 2.37: The Hunt For a Mystery

Welcome to Nutmeg Junction I’m J. Timothy Quirk Today we have two special stories on our trolley ride of imagination. Our fist story is The Hunt for A Mystery, a script that was originally written and then performed live during the live show in April 2019. This is the official studio version. The story is notable as it showcases many of our favorite characters including Harriet Holmes, Nathaniel and Netta Chance, Inspector Trompe-Loeil, Daring Darling Darly, Doctor Unhippa Redmond Herring, Lenny Snitchwell and there’s even a reference to Packa-Dermy-Poo. In our second story, we enjoy another visit to Thank Your Lucky Stars with Jack Sheedy. This was the first Thank Your Lucky Stars script ever, the Amazing Andi and it was from this first script that all of the other Thank Your Lucky Stars stories sprung. In the 29th episode of the second season of Nutmeg Junction, the Grey Whisper returns! Madeleine Forthwright and her faithful companion, Rusty, visit Leominster, Massachusetts for the Johnny Appleseed Festival. But there's another mysterious figure in the community: The Phantom Flamingo! KJ Johansen reprises her role as Virginia (Ginny) Wyles, the 19th century promoter whose motto is "there are a million bad ideas and she can find the least bad one!" Ginny pitches John Chapman who is about to embark on his journey involving apples, to consider a different fruit.
