033 "Mental Health Is Not a Joke"

TW: mental illness, depression, OCD, suicidal thoughts Oof. I had A DAY this week friends. I legitimately went from happy-smiling and feeling so pretty about having done my hair, wearing real clothes, and putting makeup on, to a sobbing mess crying out in frustration in my kitchen, sobbing while getting dressed for CrossFit, and crying on the drive to CrossFit. And as always, I like to keep it real. Seeing that picture in my stories and people reacting to how pretty it was started to feel so ingenuine after I had pretty much cried my make up off and my hair was back in a ponytail. So I wanted to talk about it… I did something a little bit different with this episode. I said I was going to talk about my experience on an Instagram Live. And then I realized, I hate going Live. So I recorded it on my phone, and figured might as well hit two birds with one stone and record it for the podcast at the same time. I’m incredibly uncomfortable on video, so this episode may or may not seem a little less “fluid” than some because of the camera facing me. But this story needed to be told. 032 "Go with the flow"

One of my favourite apps that I use on an almost daily basis is called Moon Calendar (I don’t know if it’s available for Android, but I know it’s available for iOS). And this week, the energy around the moon and my signs has been telling me to listen to my intuition and “go with the flow” — and let me tell you, I was triggered. In this episode, I talk about how I’ve been feeling lately, requesting supportive space from my partner, Human Design aspects and energy, and what I’m doing to move forward. 030 Committing to Honouring Your Energy

I went on a bit of a rant-tangent on Instagram this week, and I felt called to expand on it for this week’s episode. This week I talk about the next “up-level” I’m going through in my journey to honouring my own energy, and how I’ve discovered more pockets in my life / my business where I’m still doing what I think I “should” be (hate that word) and doing what other people told me to — even if it didn’t feel right. 029 Flexible commitments lead to better opportunities

This week’s episode is all about another part of commitment that I don’t think a lot of people think about, that I haven’t really talked about, and that I for sure have struggled with. Too often I see people (and have experienced) feeling stuck in my commitments and unable to move forward because they don’t excite me anymore, and I feel guilty for wanting to move to something different. This episodes gives examples of struggles I’ve come up against and how I came out on the other side of them. 027 The Hidden Grit in Being Biracial

I have all of the white privilege that I feel uncomfortable and have become so detached, and like I don’t have the right to be biracial… even though I am. This week’s episode talks about growing up biracial, what I witness in the different between how my mom was treated and how I’m treating, instances and memories that I buried that have been resurfaced with so many stories being shared with the Black Lives Matter Movement. As always, this episode is filled with vulnerability, and probably mistakes. But it needs to be said. 026 The Path from Failure to Abundance is Paved with Resilience

Oooooooou, this was a fire episode, you guys. I loved recording this for you. I feel like it's so easy to get wrapped up in what we see on social media and online and compare ourselves to other people’s success and what they’re doing and accomplishing, and think it look so easy. Or that they don't struggle. I’m here to show the other side of that coin and talk about my experience of feeling like a hot mess failure, to abundant within two-months. But how my journey over the last couple of years helped me rebound quickly during this time. And that's because the path to abundance and success is paved with resilience. 025 The Importance Rest Has on Your Success

This week’s episode I’m talking about rest. Which might seem like it doesn’t belong on a podcast all about “Grit” — but I feel like we’ve become so programmed to hustle, and grind, and push ahead and like Rihanna says, “work work work work work.” But today, I want to talk about the importance rest has ON your work, your success and your achievement. As a self-proclaimed workaholic, it took me a long time to learn this lesson. 024 The Dangers of Being Addicted to the Struggle Comfort Zone

Something that’s been weighing on my heart this week is all the people who are trapped within their struggles and aren’t seeing that as their comfort zone. I was hit by a wave of heartbreak nostalgia when an old high school band came onto my Spotify earlier this week… and I missed that feeling? I missed that feeling of heartache and heartbreak and of being unwanted by someone I wanted, and I thought WTF?! This is a real thing. And I wanna talk about it. This Week I Talk About: Logically we don’t like struggle, but sometimes it can become it’s own comfort zone.
