Just Something About Her With Jennifer Palmieri
Judge Rosemarie Aquilina is most known as the sentencing judge for the Larry Nassar case, where she allowed more than 150 survivors tell their story of abuse at the hands of the USA Gymnastics team doctor. But she’s also made history as the first female Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officer in the Michigan Army National Guard and the first female professor to speak at the MSU College of Law Commencement in the Spring of 2018. Now she has served on the 30th Circuit Court for Ingham County, MI for 12 years. Jennifer invites Judge Aquilina on the show to discuss how her personal experiences with neglect and abuse affect her style on the bench, her solutions for fixing a broken justice system, and where she derives her confidence from. For more about Judge Aquilina, her new memoir “Just Watch Me” is available on Audible.
